"Gold Grove"
Out of the two poems, I liked the second one better. I liked it better because although it had the same message to to get across as the first one, it got it across in a more uplifting manner. The message in both of the poems has a feeling of solitude and of wasting a life so its hard to find an uplifting thought in either. However in the vocabulary used in the second poem; passages such as "I don't regret the years I have wasted," and "I don't regret the lilac time of life." It feels like the author may be more excepting and happy. The first peom states this as well, but it is easier and more obvious to understand in the second peom. That is another thing the second peom does better; it uses vocabulary that is much eaiser, therefore making the poem more fun to read.
